What is the Best Book to learn Guitar for beginners?

27th April 2010

I just got a guitar yesterday and i was wanting to find a good book to help me learn to play

PluckandPlayGuitar has free video based lessons for absolute beginners and assume you know nothing or close to nothing.

It takes you step by step through the basic guitar chords one by one. There’s also lessons on guitar scales, techniques and some easy songs to play.

take a half dozen lessons and you’ll learn chords and strums. you’ll be able to play a thousand songs and you won’t develop any bad habits that will be hard to break

I don’t know about the books. but http://www.guitarskilz.net seems to be a pretty good starting place for beginner guitar players. They have free lessons and other stuff

Ask someone around you to hear you play. If they are a guitarist as well, they will point you in the right direction. Take some lessons, practice, have fun!
