This program was conceived as a promotional vehicle for Steinberger Sound and was distributed to all of the Steinberger dealers at the time. It features discussions and demos with artists like Rick Derringer, Arlen Roth, Vinnie Zummo and others, as well in-depth interview segments with Ned on design, feature and performance aspects of his instruments. A highlight is a detailed demo on how to set up a TransTrem from Ned himself. Full program is broken into 5 segments for easier downloading.

    I wish they would make the L shape bodies with transtrems again. All you can get nowadays are those wooden spirits with an R trem. And a replacement transtrem is around 1,000!

    what bugS me at a high level… is : no one likes the ‘’shape ” of theese guitars, but FORGOT that the IDEA of the trem, neck, head, is BRILANT why not take the IDEA and put it on a known shape guitar !!!

    They always show up on eBay. I just bought a MINT 1985 XL2A on eBay. It wasn’t cheap but it is absolutely in mINT condition…not a scratch anywhere on the bass. It looks like it just came out of the Steinberger shop in Newburgh! I absolutely love this bass. I had two other XL2As and sold them regretfully. I am keeping this one FOREVER!
