Floyd Rose Guitar Tremolo Setup + String Gauge Change Pt2

Part 2 of my extremely quick guide to changing the strings to a different gauge on a guitar with a floyd rose tremolo. Should explain how to change the strings easily and how to reset the bridge so that it sits flat. Hope you enjoy.

@dimert great video, thanks mate. It looks really easy, i am very familiar with changing strings with a tremolo but isnt there more that can go wrong when you change string guage?
I have heard the term truss rod adjustment, but im not sure what that actually means!

what about intonation? don’t you have to reinonate the guitar after you make a gauge change?

it depends on what …
it depends on what bridge you have
on the ibanez edge series bridges you just get an alumn key the size of the holes in the bridge anchor bolts that screw down into the body. twist them to lower or raise the bolts into/out of the body and the bridge will move with them.

To get the slack …
To get the slack out I leave the nut unlocked and just pull the trem arm up and then dump it for about 2. , 5 min. break, 2 min. stretch.
