is there a web site where i can learn tabs and chords ? the easy way im new to the guitr
try http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/.
That is a site i often use for tabs. They have a very good selection
Also have a look at the program Guitar Pro. I think there is a free trial you can have.
This program will open Guitar Pro Tabs, which you can download on that website i just gave you, and will then display them and play them, allowing you to cleary see what you should play and also hear how it should sound.
If you struggle to read and play tabs, there is no way to learn this. After all, it is just a graphical representation of a guitar and where to put your fingers. Guitar Pro makes this easier to see.
And for chords, i would reccomend buying a chord book. These have most if not every chord written in them and a picture of where your fingers should be. Very handy.
Hope this helps!

Hello everyone. I used to play trumpet years ago, and since then I haven’t played a guitar. Since I used to play an instrument I sort of still know how to read sheet music. I have a guitar, but don’t really know what to do. What would be the best way for me to learn? Tabs or sheet music and how? Should I buy a book? or watch videos online?
First get some lessons and learn the basics you can learn from books if you wish but it is always better if someone can show you because they can pick up on things you might miss. Then once you can read music download or buy your sheets of music and learn how to play the song from youtube (there are guitar players that will show you how to play all sorts of songs) and follow the sheets of music when learning the song so you know what the guitar player is talking about. You can have one page up of the youtube video and one of the music sheet you want to learn. And they’ll teach you how to play the song but you must learn the chords and notes first that’s why I say you should learn the basics like how to read music first. There are also some magazines that can teach you how to play with videos so check there also.

I dont really like how is sounds but i cant afford a les paul standard and my budget on an amp is around 500 dollars. Is this guy doing something wrong?
is sounds very fuzzy
Dude, An epiphone Les Paul and an MG250DFX is great setup. Something sounds funny in this video because of his camera or who knows, but don’t doubt the setup. Trust me it’s more than gig-ready and will be clear as day in high volume. Get it, you don’t regret it.

I just bought a new acoustic guitar, and it needs adjustment that I do not know how to do. The action is wayyyy too high, so I think I need the saddle cut down a bit and probably have the truss rod adjusted.
If I take my guitar to a Guitar Center will they set it up for me? Also, about how much will it cost?
Thanks.
i always found guitar center helpfull they should help you for no more than $20 or so if theres no major problem

Hi I’d like to know how to set up my guitar amp, it has volume, treble, gain and bass controls and I don’t know what’s each one for XD, and specially I wanna know how to get longer sounds from my guitar
Bass and treble are pretty much self explanatory: They boost or reduce the low and high end respectively. Gain is how much of a signal you send to the preamp stage of the amp. If you want to make it sound like the amp is being overdriven, set the gain up high. This will overdrive the preamp and give some level of distortion. Volume is the overall volume…how loud the amp is. So it should be possible to crank the gain and sound like your amp is screaming…but keep the volume low…or high as desired.
By "longer sounds" I assume you mean "sustain." Part of your sustain comes from your guitar….the construction, the pickups, etc. As far as settings go, you would probably get the most sustain by setting your guitar volume and tone at full. and a fair amount of gain on the amp.

I’m learning guitar next weeek and i just want to know a couple things:
1) how long does it take to learn
2) when will i be able to play actual songs like (one more girl- i can love anyone)
3) any extra tips would be helpful too
thanks
There is no definite answer because it all depends on your practice habits. For the average person it takes a week of practicing 1 to 2 hours day to play "Mary had a little lamb".
Be prepared for your fingers to hurt like hell for the first month or so too.
Invest in a good metronome too.
