Learn Guitar Tabs

I know nothing about reading music or anything related to music ie notes etc…

Would I have to learn about music first then pick an instrument or can I learn guitar at the same time as they explain about notes etc…

Any recommendations on a site or book that is good.

Go to a guitar store and pickup a DVD, a book about scales, one about chord theory and anything else the sales people can recommend.

Then get a qualified teacher.

This program was conceived as a promotional vehicle for Steinberger Sound and was distributed to all of the Steinberger dealers at the time. It features discussions and demos with artists like Rick Derringer, Arlen Roth, Vinnie Zummo and others, as well in-depth interview segments with Ned on design, feature and performance aspects of his instruments. A highlight is a detailed demo on how to set up a TransTrem from Ned himself. Full program is broken into 5 segments for easier downloading.

Freight train is a great song to getting started with playing fingerstyle guitar. This lesson features 4 versions of this song and with each version there will be some things added.
This is the fourth and last version (intermediate). It continues with adding extra bassnotes to the song. It’s split up in 9 parts and I’ve tried to explain it step by step and in a slowed down way.
