Is there book or website that anyone knows of that will show me how to tab out music. I SOOO don’t understand guitar tab. Im not really into learning other peoples songs unless it really means something to me. however i feel that learn how to tab out my own songs would be beneficial and it would make it hard to forgot my own songs….can SOMEONE HELP ME? plz thank U
If you don’t have the programe called Guitar Pro, you can use another similar free programe called Power Tab Editor. You can write out both tabs and scores using this programe.

This is what a tab looks like. Those letters match up with the strings. The one at the top, the little ‘e’, is the thinnest string and is closest to the floor when you hold the guitar. The big E matches up with the thickest string and will be closest to your head.
The numbers are where you push down on the guitar’s fretboard and then pick to make a sound.
So if there is a 0 on the ‘e’ line. Then you pick the thinnest string without pressing down on it.
But if there is a 1. You press down between the end of the string and the first metal bar, called a fret.

E ——————————-
So then if you want to play three notes together. You can go like this
e –0–1–3———————–
B ——————————-
G ——————————
D ——————————
A ——————————-
E ——————————-
This means you play the thinnest string without pushing down, then play with your finger between the end and the first fret, then play in the third space between the frets, which means between the 2nd and 3rd metal bars.
I’m glad to see you’re interested in playing music so young, feel free to email me if you need more help.
